Tripura Ready to Implement Uniform Civil Code on Centre's Direction

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha said the state is ready to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) if the Centre issues a direction. The UCC aims to establish a common legal framework for marriage, divorce, succession, and live-in relationships. Saha also announced a month-long program beginning September 17 to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years in public service. The program will highlight Modi's achievements for public welfare and will be overseen by a monitoring committee headed by Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy.
