Ōtaki Aims for Carbon Neutrality with Forest Planting Project

Ōtaki, a small town in New Zealand, aims to achieve carbon neutrality through a project that involves landowners planting permanent native forests. The Ōtaki Carbon Forest Project has secured commitments from 35 landowners to plant 32ha of new native forests by 2030. The project's goal is to create a carbon sink that will offset the town's carbon emissions.
