Sanofi and Cheplapharm plan to create a strategic partnership, with Cheplapharm taking over 20 mature medicines and three manufacturing sites worldwide. In return, SanofiSNY-- will receive a 26.4% equity stake in Cheplapharm. This partnership aims to ensure these medicines continue to meet patients' needs. Sanofi's Executive Vice President, Thomas Grenier, said the deal underscores the company's commitment to ensuring patients benefit from today's essential medicines while pursuing breakthroughs. Cheplapharm's Co-CEOs, Edeltraud Lafer and Sebastian Braun, expressed pride in pursuing this ambition alongside Sanofi. The partnership is expected to have a long-term pharmaceutical and industrial commitment to investing in sites and preserving rare skills.
