Pinterest Deploys Nvidia Tech for AI Layer Expansion

Pinterest has built a new AI layer using Nvidia's technology, allowing it to create AI products without custom infrastructure. The platform plans to offer more products that rely on images and language, such as visual search and content understanding. The new layer is built on Nvidia's accelerated computing platform with Nvidia Blackwell GPUs, Nvidia Dynamo, and Pinterest's own visual embeddings. Pinterest uses its 80 billion monthly searches to create signals for AI-powered discovery and shopping. The new layer has shown faster response and overall latency compared to processing raw images. The collaboration between Pinterest and Nvidia spans five years and over 14,000 GPUs.
