Partners Group has clarified that it has no plans to freeze any of its evergreen vehicles, despite recent liquidity pressures across its private equity and private credit funds. The firm has implemented a 5% quarterly redemption cap in several of its open-ended funds to manage investor redemptions and preserve long-term value for stakeholders.

The firm’s Global Value SICAV, a Luxembourg-domiciled private equity evergreen fund, has seen redemption requests reach 9.8% of net asset value (NAV) in the second quarter of 2026. In response, Partners Group has enforced a 5% liquidity limit for this vehicle. A Delaware-domiciled U.S. private equity fund is also expected to face redemption requests of approximately 6% of NAV, while three other evergreen funds—holding $9.7 billion in assets—may see redemptions between 3.5% and 5%.

CEO David Layton emphasized that liquidity controls protect long-term investors and ensure returns are driven by the quality of underlying private assets rather than short-term market dynamics. He noted that the firm’s portfolio companies are undergoing significant value creation initiatives with substantial upside potential.

Partners Group reiterated that its liquidity management approach is consistent with its long-standing strategy and that it remains committed to maintaining a balanced investor base. Approximately 80% of assets come from institutional investors, while 20% are from private wealth clients.

The firm also highlighted that its evergreen funds are designed to provide investors with flexible access to private markets, with liquidity features differing from closed-end funds. Evergreen vehicles allow for periodic subscriptions and redemptions, offering greater flexibility and compounding returns over time.

While the firm acknowledged heightened volatility in the private markets sector, it remains confident in its ability to manage liquidity risks and deliver long-term value for its investors.
