African agritech startup Twiga Foods has put a part of its business, GT Flow Limited, into statutory administration due to financial struggles and creditor claims. The decision, effective August 17, 2026, allows an administrator to control GT Flow's assets and operations. Creditors have 30 days to submit claims, but this does not mean Twiga Foods is shutting down completely. The company has raised over $160 million from investors like Goldman Sachs and the International Finance Corporation, which has been used to expand distribution networks, supply chains, and develop new products.
