Chunghwa Telecom Q2 EBITDA TWD 23,520 million
Chunghwa Telecom (TAIEX: 2412, NYSE: CHT) reported an EBITDA of NT$23.52 billion for the second quarter of 2025, representing a 3.5% year-over-year increase from NT$22.58 billion in the same period of 2024. This growth was driven by strong performance across its Consumer and Enterprise Business Groups, partially offset by a decline in the International Business Group. The EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 39.80%, slightly down from 40.31% in the second quarter of 2024.
The Consumer Business Group contributed NT$34.07 billion in revenue, with a 1.4% year-over-year increase, supported by stable growth in mobile and fixed broadband ARPU. Meanwhile, the Enterprise Business Group saw a 12.4% year-over-year revenue increase to NT$18.98 billion, driven by a 37% rise in ICT services, including demand for cloud, AIoT, and 5G private networks.
Despite a 16.8% year-over-year revenue decline for the International Business Group, the company maintained its overall EBITDA growth, reflecting the resilience of its core operations. Total operating costs and expenses increased by 4.8% to NT$44.19 billion, in line with the growth in revenue and business activity.
Chunghwa Telecom’s EBITDA performance underscores its ability to manage costs while expanding its services in key growth areas, particularly in enterprise ICT and digital transformation solutions.
