Chifeng Gold discloseable transaction independent contractor mining agreement for mine development, mining services
Allied Gold Corporation has announced the termination of its arrangement agreement with Zijin Gold International Company Ltd., which was initially intended to facilitate a larger transaction between the two entities. The decision to terminate the agreement was made due to the conclusion that the conditions for completing the transaction would not be fulfilled by the agreed-upon deadline of July 29, 2026, or within any reasonable time thereafter. Despite the termination, Zijin Gold has committed to a US$295 million strategic investment. This investment involves the subscription of approximately 12.8 million common shares at a price of C$32.55 per share, representing a premium to the current market price. The investment is expected to be finalized on or around August 10, 2026, pending approval from the Toronto Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange. The proceeds from this investment will be allocated toward advancing Allied Gold’s growth initiatives, including operational optimizations and exploration efforts. The company has also outlined enhance production at Kurmuk Mine and expand operations at the Sadiola and CDI Complex sites. The strategic investment underscores Allied Gold’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its financial position and support long-term growth in its African operations.
