Zodia Custody COO Samuel Howe Leaves for Traditional Finance
Samuel Howe, the former Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Zodia Custody, has departed from the London-based crypto custodian to pursue a career in traditional finance. Howe's tenure at Zodia Custody spanned approximately three months, during which he served as the COO. Prior to this role, he held the position of head of operations at the same company.
According to an email statement from Zodia Custody's CEO, Julian Sawyer, Howe's departure signifies the fluid exchange of roles and skills between the crypto industry and traditional finance. Sawyer also announced that Sam Hill, who has been with the company for the past 18 months, will be taking over Howe's responsibilities.
Before joining Zodia Custody, Howe had a notable career in the crypto industry. He served as the head of crypto operations at hedge fund GSA Capital and as the head of capital markets operations at asset manager CoinShares. His professional journey also includes stints at banking giants HSBC and Kleinwort Hambros before he transitioned into the crypto sector. Additionally, Howe co-founded a private crypto hedge fund in 2020, which he continues to advise.
