Cas Abbé, a prominent Web3 Growth Manager, has expressed his belief that XRP’s recent surge is far from over. He argues that the cryptocurrency could continue its upward trajectory, potentially surpassing the $10 mark. According to Abbé, three major developments could serve as catalysts for this growth, including the potential approval of an XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF), increased adoption of Ripple’s stablecoin RLUSD, and a long-awaited Ripple initial public offering (IPO).

The resolution of the SEC vs. Ripple case is seen as a turning point for XRP. Abbé pointed out that the conclusion of the case had already contributed to a significant price increase, with the token rising from approximately $0.50 to $3.30 in the final quarter of 2024—a gain of more than 500%. While some investors believe the price has already peaked following this event, Abbé asserts that additional bullish factors could drive further gains.

One of the most significant developments Abbé highlights is the growing likelihood of an XRP ETF gaining regulatory approval. He notes that the conclusion of the lawsuit has provided greater clarity on XRP’s legal status, prompting multiple financial institutions to file applications for spot-based XRP ETFs. Furthermore, he predicts that major asset managers may also pursue ETF offerings for XRP. According to the analyst's forecast, there is currently an 83% chance of XRP ETF approval in 2025. If approved, institutional investors could increase their exposure to XRP, significantly boosting demand and pushing its price higher.

Another key factor Abbé identifies is the expected adoption of Ripple USD (RLUSD), a stablecoin backed by U.S. dollar deposits, cash equivalents, and government bonds. He argues that RLUSD could play a crucial role in reinforcing the dominance of the U.S. dollar in global finance. By facilitating seamless transactions and reducing the need for multiple currency conversions, the asset could see a significant increase in utility and demand. Abbé draws parallels between RLUSD’s potential impact on XRP and how USDT and USDC contributed to the growth of Bitcoin and Ethereum, respectively.

The final major factor Abbé points to is the possibility of Ripple going public. He anticipates that 2025 could be the year Ripple launches an IPO, particularly given the favorable regulatory environment and the increasing institutional acceptance of cryptocurrencies. According to Abbé, a Ripple IPO would enable the company to expand its reach into emerging markets such as real-world asset tokenization and decentralized finance (DeFi). He believes that an IPO would not only provide Ripple with additional capital but also enhance the credibility and adoption of XRP, further driving its value upward.

Considering these three major factors—XRP ETF approval, RLUSD adoption, and a Ripple IPO—Abbé predicts that XRP has the potential to exceed $10 shortly. With the cryptocurrency currently trading at $2.10, this would represent a price surge of over 370%. While speculative, these projections reflect the growing optimism surrounding the token’s role in the evolving digital financial ecosystem.
