Piper’s extensive career includes serving as a senior, independent adviser to executive management, company boards, and investment fund managers since 2020. From 2014 to 2020, he was the director and chief executive officer of CP Energy, a private midstream energy company. Prior to that, Piper was the CEO of Gavilon Energy, where he led the energy group’s spin-off and subsequent sale in 2014 to NGL Energy Partners. He also served as Gavilon Group’s Chief Commercial Officer, directing strategic initiatives including the sale of the global agriculture division to Marubeni in 2013 [1].

Piper holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a Master of Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas [1].
