Worksport's Solar Tonneau Cover for Rivian R1T Offers Off-Grid Power

Worksport has developed a solar tonneau cover for the Rivian R1T pickup truck. The cover features 250 watts of onboard solar generating capacity, which can charge a portable accessory battery in about four hours. The cover is priced at $2,000 at launch, with the accessory battery and inverter costing an additional $949. Rivian's own power tonneau cover without solar panels costs $3,300. The solar tonneau cover can power tools, electronics, and camping equipment in outlet-free locations.
