According to Clutch research, 71% of US consumers own a wearable device, mostly to track fitness, activity, and health data. However, concerns about data privacy and trust are influencing device choice and use, with 74% of users worried about wearable data privacy and 69% potentially switching devices over it. Brands that prioritize data security and transparency are best positioned to earn long-term trust.
