RIVN--

Rivian is supporting a ballot initiative in Washington state to allow EV manufacturers to sell directly to consumers, despite current laws requiring buyers to purchase vehicles through dealerships. The company has committed $4.6 million to the effort, aiming to level the playing field with Tesla. The initiative, led by the Washington Coalition for Consumer Choice and Innovation, would extend direct sales rights to more EV companies. To qualify for the ballot, sponsors must submit at least 308,911 valid voter signatures to the secretary of state by early July.
