Viatris: Breaking Down Barriers to Access and Building Resilient Health Systems

Viatris engages with policymakers to advance access to quality medicines and build resilient health systems globally. Examples of their work include providing access to generic medicines, strengthening supply chains, and building future access. They collaborated with the U.S. government to include policies supporting access to generics in Congressional proposals and worked with the British Generic Manufacturers Association to clear a backlog of pending market authorization applications. Viatris also led efforts to include language in SFOPS Appropriations legislation to incentivize regional manufacturing investment for the PEPFAR program.
