Vertical Aerospace and Marubeni Accelerate Electric Air Taxi Routes in Japan.

Vertical Aerospace has partnered with Marubeni to accelerate its commercial roadmap in Japan. The companies are developing an Advanced Air Mobility route network across the country, targeting piloted demonstration flights in Osaka Bay in 2026. Vertical's certification aircraft, Valo, will fly up to 160 km at speeds of up to 240 km/h with zero operating emissions, and the companies are progressing plans for premium tourism, airport shuttles, and essential services.
