Union Minister Announces ₹1 Lakh Crore Worth of Projects Under Sagarmala Programme in Andhra Pradesh

The Sagarmala program has identified 110 projects worth over ₹1 lakh crore in Andhra Pradesh to enhance infrastructure for port-led industrialization, port modernization, port connectivity, coastal community development, coastal shipping, and inland waterways. The Union Minister for Ports, Shipping, and Waterways shared this information in response to a question by MPs from Andhra Pradesh. The State Maritime & Waterway Transport Committee and Maritime State Development Council were established to coordinate and implement initiatives in the maritime sector. The National Logistics Portal Marine (Sagar Setu) was also launched to reduce logistics costs and enhance port efficiency.
