Britons' short-term and long-term inflation expectations have surged in March, according to a YouGov survey for Citi. Short-term expectations rose to 5.4% from 3.3% in February, while long-term expectations increased to 4.5% from 3.6%. The increase comes at a sensitive moment for the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee, which is currently assessing inflationary risks in Britain.
