Uber Acquires Segments.ai to Boost AI Services, Expand Data Labeling Business

Uber has acquired Segments.ai, a Belgian startup that specializes in data labeling for autonomous driving technology. The acquisition will help Uber expand its data-labeling business and compete with established players in the AI training and data labeling space. Segments.ai will join Uber's data-labeling unit, Uber AI Solutions, and its staff will remain with the company. The deal size was not disclosed.
