The partnership aligns with du's ongoing efforts to expand its service offerings and improve customer experience. By combining du's extensive telecommunications infrastructure with ADBC's expertise in digital broadcasting and content, the collaboration seeks to offer a comprehensive suite of services tailored to the needs of the UAE market.
The partnership will focus on enhancing mobility services, including mobile voice and data, mobile content, and mobile broadband wireless fidelity (WIFI). Additionally, it will strengthen wireline services, such as broadband, Internet protocol television (IPTV), and business Internet and telephony services. The collaboration will also extend to the broadcasting segment, delivering integrated satellite and broadcasting services to broadcasters and media companies.
Du's Chief Technology Officer, Saleem AlBlooshi, emphasized the importance of the partnership in a statement: "This collaboration underscores our commitment to improving internal efficiency and customer experiences using advanced, culturally attuned solutions. Together with our esteemed partners, we are building a future where AI speaks our language, understands our context, and drives real operational transformation and impactful customer experiences."
The partnership is part of a broader strategy by du to leverage AI and technology to enhance its services. In a separate development, du has launched a first-of-its-kind Arabic Telecom Large Language Model (LLM) in collaboration with Microsoft, Nokia, Khalifa University’s 6G Research Centre, and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). This model is designed to support internal telecom operations and enhance efficiency, reflecting du's commitment to advancing the UAE's sovereign AI capabilities [1].
The partnership with ADBC is expected to drive innovation and growth in the telecommunications sector, providing a competitive edge to both companies. As du continues to expand its services, the partnership with ADBC will be a key factor in its success, enabling it to offer a more comprehensive and integrated service portfolio to its customers.
