Tucows has partnered with Radix to manage back-end registry services for 11 top-level domains, adding 10 million domains to Tucows' total of nearly 17 million globally by November 2025. This strategic collaboration prepares both companies for the anticipated wave of new TLDs in 2026.

Tucows Inc. (NASDAQ: TCX) and Radix have entered a strategic partnership that will see Tucows manage the back-end registry services for Radix's portfolio of 11 top-level domains (TLDs). This agreement, announced on August 6, 2025, will add approximately 10 million domains under management (DUMs) to Tucows' platform, bringing their total to nearly 17 million domains globally by November 2025.

The partnership involves Tucows assuming technical registry operations for Radix's TLDs, including popular extensions like .online, .store, and .tech. This collaboration positions both companies advantageously for the upcoming wave of new TLDs expected in 2026, as ICANN prepares to open the next round of new generic top-level domains (gTLDs).

Radix, known for its innovative and data-driven approach, operates with a unique model of highly versatile, keyword-rich domain strings that perform across industries and languages. With over 3.5 million active names under .online alone, Radix has established strong global reach and renewal rates.

This strategic partnership further expands Tucows' position as a leading infrastructure provider in the domain industry, now supporting two of the largest registry operators worldwide. The deal creates meaningful operating leverage within Tucows' Domains business segment, establishing a clear growth vector as they scale their registry operations.

The migration is scheduled to complete by November 2025, following a decade of industry leadership by Radix and 20+ years of internet infrastructure experience by Tucows. This expansion builds on an existing relationship between the two companies, with Tucows previously serving as a channel partner for Radix.
