The partnership will enable Radix to leverage Tucows' robust registry infrastructure, positioning both companies to capitalize on the upcoming wave of new TLDs expected in 2026. Tucows will manage Radix's portfolio, which includes high-performing domain extensions such as .online, .store, .tech, .site, and .fun.
"This is a significant milestone for Tucows Registry," said David Woroch, CEO of Tucows Domains. "Being selected by Radix, an industry leader, is a testament to our capabilities and positions us as the preferred platform for top-tier registry operators."
The migration of Radix domains is expected in November 2025, adding approximately 10 million domains under management (DUMs) to the Tucows Registry platform, bringing the total to almost 17 million domains globally. This expansion will further solidify Tucows' position as a leading infrastructure provider in the domain industry, having already provided back-end services for two of the largest registry operators globally.
Radix, known for its innovative and data-driven go-to-market strategies, has over 3.5 million active names under .online alone. The partnership combines Tucows' scale in registry infrastructure with Radix's proven go-to-market excellence and category-leading TLD performance.
Sandeep Ramchandani, CEO of Radix, commented, "This partnership marks a pivotal shift toward a new phase of growth for Radix. Tucows' strong domain technology and infrastructure, combined with their commitment to the registry business, make them an ideal ally as we scale further."
The partnership is strategically positioned to capture value from the next round of new gTLDs, which ICANN is expected to open in 2026. This agreement not only expands Tucows' service offerings but also strengthens its position in the domain name ecosystem.
