World Liberty Financial, a decentralized finance (DeFi) project with ties to former U.S. President Donald Trump, recently transferred over $307 million worth of Ethereum (ETH) and Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) to Coinbase Prime. This significant transaction, one of the largest by the project to date, has sparked interest and raised questions about its liquidity, strategic positioning, and potential regulatory concerns.

The transaction, comprising 13 separate transfers, was executed amid speculation surrounding Trump's proposed Sovereign Wealth Fund and its possible exposure to digital assets. On-chain data suggests that more than 90% of the project's multi-asset treasury has been shifted, significantly reducing its overall holdings.

World Liberty Financial has stated that the transfers were part of "routine treasury management," aimed at covering operational expenses and optimizing its treasury management. However, the scale and timing of the transaction have led to questions about the project's liquidity and strategic positioning.

Blockchain tracking platform Spotonchain revealed that the transfers were primarily composed of ETH and WBTC but also included holdings in AAVE, ENA, and LINK. Following the transactions, the project's treasury balance fell sharply, dropping from $363 million to roughly $33 million.
