In his first Cabinet meeting of the second term, U.S. President Donald Trump emphasized the need for caution in selecting State Department staff for layoffs and expressed his intention to reduce the size of the government. The meeting was attended by Secretary of Efficiency Elon Musk, who is not a formal member of the Cabinet.

Trump discussed the upcoming U.S.-Ukraine mineral agreement, stating that the U.S. will cooperate with Ukraine on rare earths. The U.S. aims to retrieve $350 billion allocated to Ukraine through this agreement. The President also confirmed that most tariffs will continue to be implemented.

Starting from April 2nd, the U.S. will impose a 25% tariff on goods imported from Mexico and non-energy goods imported from Canada. It is expected that the U.S. will soon impose a 25% tariff on Europe, covering cars and other goods.
