Trump Hosts Crypto Roundtable: A New Era for Digital Finance
The White House has announced a crypto roundtable to be held next week, on March 7, with President Donald Trump set to host the event. The summit will be led by White House Crypto and AI Czar David Sacks and Bo Hines, the executive director of a working group on digital assets, with Trump himself delivering remarks.
The roundtable will bring together prominent founders, CEOs, and investors from the crypto industry, as well as members of the President's Working Group on Digital Assets. This gathering comes just a month after Sacks' first public remarks as Trump's crypto czar, where he emphasized the importance of keeping innovation in the U.S. and fostering the creation of digital financial assets domestically.
The White House did not disclose the names of the other attendees. This announcement follows a busy week for the crypto industry, with the SEC withdrawing its case against CoinbaseCOIN-- and pausing investigations into ConsenSys and Gemini. The Tron Foundation and its founder, Justin SunSUN--, also saw their case paused by the SEC.
The press release stated that President Trump's policy vision represents a new era for digital financial technology, with a commitment to providing a clear regulatory framework that enables innovation and protects economic liberty.
