First and foremost, the valuation of TikTok's U.S. operations is a significant factor in any potential acquisition. Wedbush analyst Dan Ives estimates the value to be between $40 billion and $50 billion, without the proprietary algorithm. With the algorithm, the value could skyrocket to $100 billion or more. However, the U.S. government's proposed 50% ownership stake could significantly increase the valuation, potentially making TikTok worth $1 trillion, according to Trump.
