Tribe Payments and Finmo, a UK-based and Singapore-based fintech, have partnered to expand digital payments services in APAC and Europe. The partnership aims to extend both companies' market reach and offer enhanced financial services infrastructure without impacting cryptocurrency markets. Tribe supports global payment schemes, while Finmo holds a Major Payment Institution license to navigate APAC's regulatory landscape efficiently. The alliance enhances cross-border financial solutions, leveraging existing global card networks like Visa and Mastercard.

Tribe Payments and Finmo have announced a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing digital payment services across Asia-Pacific (APAC) and Europe. The collaboration, which was announced on May 31, 2025, seeks to extend both companies' market reach and offer an enhanced financial services infrastructure without impacting cryptocurrency markets.

Tribe Payments, headquartered in London, is a leading payment technology firm that provides issuer and acquirer processing platforms. It has evolved its payment platform to enable customers to deliver frictionless and secure customer experiences across various transaction points. Tribe Payments is connected to major global card networks such as Mastercard, Visa, American Express, UnionPay International, Discover, and JCB, providing unparalleled connectivity through a single integration.

Finmo, based in Singapore, offers a comprehensive treasury and financial management system. Founded in 2021, Finmo's all-in-one platform provides real-time payment capabilities, cash flow visibility, foreign exchange (FX) risk management, compliance automation, and liquidity optimization. Finmo holds a Major Payment Institution (MPI) license from the Singaporean authorities, which allows it to navigate the APAC regulatory landscape efficiently.

The partnership combines Tribe's issuer and acquirer processing platform with Finmo's treasury and financial management system. This integration will deliver end-to-end payment and treasury services to banking and fintech clients across key growth markets. Tribe Payments will benefit from Finmo's deep local market access in APAC, while Finmo will gain the tools to expand its reach into Europe.

Matt Weir, GM Asia-Pacific at Tribe Payments, commented on the partnership, stating, "I’m delighted to announce Tribe’s new partnership with Finmo. This will further supercharge our money movement offerings across Asia-Pacific and Europe. The partnership underlines our shared goal of delivering best in class, secure payment services to clients in both card and non-card environments."

David Hanna, CEO of Finmo, added, "We’re thrilled to be partnering with Tribe Payments, a move that truly symbolizes 'East meets West' in the fintech world. Like Tribe, we have grown rapidly in a short space of time in our own region, and the time has come to make a more concerted effort to spread our wings further."

The partnership will enable Tribe to offer card issuing and acquiring solutions to APAC and European markets, while Finmo will swiftly enable Tribe to serve new clients, increasing its APAC footprint. The alliance enhances cross-border financial solutions, leveraging existing global card networks like Visa and Mastercard.
