TransUnion has confirmed a cyberattack that exposed personal data of 4.4 million US consumers. The breach occurred through a third-party application and did not affect TransUnion's core credit database or credit reports. This disclosure follows Allianz Life's announcement of a breach that impacted 1.1 million customers and a historic cyberattack on UnitedHealth Group's Change Healthcare unit, which exposed the personal information of over 190 million Americans. Microsoft Corporation has also disclosed a breach tied to state-linked hackers that exploited vulnerabilities in its on-premises SharePoint servers, affecting over 100 organizations.
