Top 5 Valued Firms' Market Valuation Jumps ₹60,675.94 Cr, SBI and HDFC Lead Gainers

The market capitalization of the top 5 most valued firms in India increased by ₹60,675.94 crore last week. State Bank of India and HDFC Bank emerged as the biggest winners, with their valuations rising by ₹20,445.82 crore and ₹14,083.51 crore, respectively. Reliance Industries, Infosys, and Bharti Airtel also saw significant gains, while LIC, Bajaj Finance, ICICI Bank, TCS, and Hindustan Unilever faced erosion in their market capitalization.

The market capitalization of the top 5 most valued firms in India increased by ₹60,675.94 crore last week. SBI's valuation jumped by ₹20,445.82 crore to ₹7,63,095.16 crore, while HDFC Bank's market capitalization surged by ₹14,083.51 crore to ₹15,28,387.09 crore [1].

Reliance Industries' valuation increased by ₹7,848.84 crore to ₹18,59,023.43 crore, while Infosys added ₹9,887.17 crore to its valuation, taking it to ₹6,01,310.19 crore. Bharti Airtel's market capitalization surged by ₹8,410.6 crore to ₹10,68,260.92 crore [1].

However, LIC, Bajaj Finance, ICICI Bank, TCS, and Hindustan Unilever faced erosion in their market capitalization. LIC's valuation tumbled by ₹15,306.5 crore to ₹5,61,881.17 crore, while Bajaj Finance faced an erosion of ₹9,601.08 crore to ₹5,35,547.44 crore. ICICI Bank's valuation declined by ₹6,513.34 crore to ₹10,18,982.35 crore, TCS's market capitalization fell by ₹4,558.79 crore to ₹10,93,349.87 crore, and Hindustan Unilever's valuation dipped by ₹3,630.12 crore to ₹5,83,391.76 crore [1].

The gains in market capitalization were supported by a positive trend in equities, with the Sensex climbing 739.87 points or 0.92 per cent, and the Nifty edging higher by 268 points or 1.10 per cent [1].
