Thousands without power in P.E.I. as outage affects central and western regions

A power outage affecting over 14,000 customers in central and western PEI has been reported. The cause of the outage is currently being investigated, and crews have been dispatched to restore power. The city of Summerside, which operates its own electric utility, is also experiencing an outage due to a failure at the Maritime Electric Sherbrooke Substation. No restoration time has been given for the entire city.
