Tesla Teases Launch in Colombia, Possibly Second Market in South America

Tesla has hinted at launching in Colombia, its second market in South America, by posting an image of the country's outline on its official 'North America' account. Colombia has a small auto market with only around 200,000 new cars registered per year, and electric vehicles account for a small share of the market. Tesla's launch could help accelerate EV adoption with its charging infrastructure deployment. However, the automaker will face competition from Chinese electric automakers BYD and Zeekr.
