Tesla recalls 1.2 million imported and domestically produced electric vehicles.
According to the "Regulations on Recalling Defective Automobile Products" and "Implementation Methods for the Regulations on Recalling Defective Automobile Products", Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Tesla Auto (Beijing) Co., Ltd. have recently filed a recall plan with the National Administration for Market Regulation. The decision is to recall the following vehicles from now on.
1. Recalling a portion of imported Model S, Model X and domestic Model 3 and Model Y electric vehicles produced between July 16, 2023 and December 14, 2024, totaling 335,716 vehicles. The vehicles in this recall range may have reverse current damage to the power components on the motherboard of the on-board computer when the vehicle is powered on, resulting in abnormal rear view camera function, which may cause the rear view image to fail to display, affecting the driver's field of view when backing up, increasing the risk of vehicle collision, and posing a safety hazard.
2. Recalling a portion of domestic Model 3 and Model Y electric vehicles produced between January 3, 2022 and September 23, 2023, totaling 871,087 vehicles.
Due to the electronic power steering system software issue, the electronic power steering function may be triggered to be limited, resulting in the failure of electronic power steering, which poses a safety hazard.
