Telus Reports Q3 Profit of $493M, Up from $280M YoY

Telus Corp. reported a Q3 profit attributable to common shareholders of $493M, up from $280M a year ago. The profit amounted to 32 cents per share, up from 19 cents per share in the same quarter last year. The gain was largely due to a gain on the purchase of long-term debt. Operating revenue and other income totaled $5.11B, up from $5.10B in the same quarter last year.
