Talos Acquires Coin Metrics for $100 Million to Expand Data Solutions

Crypto trading infrastructure firm Talos has announced the acquisition of Coin Metrics, a market analytics platform, in a deal valued at $100 million. Talos, which was launched in 2020, provides a comprehensive suite of crypto-related solutions for institutional clients. Anton Katz, the chief executive and co-founder of Talos, expressed enthusiasm about the merger. This includes trading, portfolio management, market data, on-chain analytics, and portfolio construction.

Last year, Talos acquired Skolem, a platform that enables institutional investors to directly participate in decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystems. This acquisition came a year after Talos integrated with Uniswap, one of the largest decentralized trading platforms in the world. These strategic moves have positioned Talos as a leading player in the crypto trading infrastructure space, providing robust solutions for institutional clients.
