Synopsys and Lightmatter Collaborate to Optimize Passage CPO Platform for Next-Gen AI Infrastructure

Lightmatter, a leader in photonic computing, has collaborated with Synopsys to integrate Synopsys' 224G SerDes and UCIe IP into Lightmatter's Passage 3D Co-Packaged Optics platform. The partnership aims to optimize the electrical-to-optical interface and enable seamless connectivity between AI accelerators and Lightmatter's 3D photonic engine, enhancing bandwidth, energy efficiency, and reducing design risk. The collaboration will facilitate the integration of Passage CPO into customers' XPU and switch designs, achieving maximum performance, reliability, and power efficiency.
