Sun Communities Announces New CFO, Appoints Mark Patten to Succeed Fernando Castro-Caratini in January 2026

Sun Communities has appointed Mark E. Patten as Chief Financial Officer, effective January 5, 2026. Patten joins from Essential Properties Realty Trust, where he served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer. He has over 35 years of experience in senior finance leadership roles across the REIT and professional services sectors. Fernando Castro-Caratini will transition into an advisory role with the Company.
