Strategy Buys 3,459 BTC for $285.8M, Total Holdings Now 531,644

Strategy, the world’s largest corporate holder of Bitcoin (BTC), has once again expanded its holdings of the flagship cryptocurrency. According to Michael Saylor, the former CEO and founder of the company, Strategy has acquired an additional 3,459 BTC for approximately $285.8 million, with each Bitcoin purchased at around $82,618. As of April 13, 2025, Strategy's total Bitcoin holdings stand at 531,644 BTC, acquired for approximately $35.92 billion at an average price of $67,556 per Bitcoin.

This latest acquisition marks the second significant purchase of Bitcoin by Strategy in 2025. In early January, the company announced its intention to accumulate more of the top crypto asset by market cap to strengthen its position in the market. The firm indicated that a planned capital raise, slated for the first three months of the year, might or might not proceed, depending on market conditions. The purpose of the offering was to allow Strategy to continue strengthening its balance sheet and acquiring more Bitcoin. However, the decision to proceed with the offering was subject to market conditions and the company's discretion.

In early February, Strategy announced a massive stock offering to raise funds for accumulating more Bitcoin. Just last month, Saylor revealed that Strategy sold $21 billion in preferred STRK stock to purchase more coins. This strategic move underscores the company's commitment to increasing its Bitcoin holdings and leveraging the cryptocurrency as a key component of its financial strategy.
