Steyr Motors inks US deal with Laborde Products for new framework.

The company specializes in diesel engines, e-machines, and hybrid systems for marine, vehicle, and industrial applications. Its products include the SE 4-cylinder series, SE 6-cylinder series, M1 4-cylinder series, and M1 6-cylinder series. The framework deal with Laborde Products will support Steyr Motors' growth in the US market.

Steyr Motors AG, an Austrian engine and parts manufacturer, has signed a new framework agreement with Laborde Products Inc., based in Covington, Louisiana. The agreement aims to bolster Steyr Motors' growth in the U.S. market, one of its core strategic regions outside of Europe [1].

The framework agreement covers sales in all continental U.S. states, as well as U.S. territories such as Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Bahamas. This partnership with Laborde Products, an established supplier of marine and industrial drive solutions, will provide Steyr Motors with a nearly comprehensive sales structure in North America [1].

Steyr Motors expects the agreement, which is set to run until 2028, to generate around USD 2 million in revenue in the current year. The total value of the new framework agreement is approximately USD 15 million over the four-year contract period [1]. The agreement includes both civilian applications and new projects in the U.S. Navy sector, while existing military contracts remain unaffected.

Julian Cassutti, CEO of Steyr Motors, commented on the significance of the agreement, stating, "The U.S. is one of our core strategic markets outside of Europe.
