SpaceX's Starlink Expands Spectrum Holdings and Adds Airlines to Customer Base, Reaches 8 Million Users Globally.

SpaceX's Starlink has secured more wireless spectrum licenses from EchoStar for $2.6 billion, expanding a $17 billion deal announced in September. The satellite internet business has passed 8 million global customers and added commercial contracts, including with International Airlines Group to install Starlink inflight internet on over 500 aircraft. The additional spectrum will be used to grow Starlink's direct to cell constellation.
