SoftBank Acquires Foxconn's Ohio Plant to Boost Stargate AI Venture

SoftBank has acquired Foxconn's Ohio EV plant for $375mln, aiming to kickstart its $500bln Stargate data center project with OpenAI and Oracle. The deal is part of SoftBank's efforts to get Foxconn on board with its plan to build data centers and related infrastructure throughout the US. Foxconn will operate the plant for its own AI server manufacturing business.
