SNB Interventions May Weaken Franc, Say UBS Economists

The Swiss National Bank (SNB) may be intervening in the market to weaken the franc, according to economists at UBS Group AG. The SNB has historically intervened in response to rapid franc appreciation against the euro and changes in risk perception. Despite still elevated safe-haven demand for the franc, the economists predict the currency may rise to €0.94 per franc.
