Smith-Midland to Supply $5.4 Million in Precast Concrete Noise Walls for North Carolina Complete 540 Project

Smith-Midland Corporation has been selected to supply $5.4 million in precast concrete noise wall systems for the Complete 540-Triangle Expressway Southeast Extension Project in North Carolina. The project includes SoftSound absorptive Ashlar noise walls, prestressed columns, decorative column caps, and precast base and top coping panels. Manufacturing will begin in May 2026, with delivery and installation expected to start in July 2026. The project aims to reduce roadway noise and enhance the surrounding community.
