SK Telecom's AI Infrastructure Strategy: A Global Expansion Plan

SK Telecom plans to expand its AI infrastructure backbone domestically and internationally, positioning itself as a builder of AI core infrastructure. The company aims to establish Korea as Asia's biggest AI hub, attract global capital, and export its AIDC model to Southeast Asia, addressing the power and cooling challenges faced by AI-heavy infrastructure facilities. SK Telecom will use its own telco network to bridge the gap between AIDC and edge computing, serving as its own first-and-best customer for its "Manufacturing AI Cloud".
