SK hynix Wuxi Plant Fire: Sungdo Engineering & Construction Faces 16.6 Billion Won Liability After Losing Final Appeal

Sungdo Engineering & Construction has lost its final appeal in a lawsuit tied to a 2013 fire at SK hynix's Wuxi plant, confirming compensation of around 16.6 billion won. The Supreme Court dismissed the appeal and ordered the company to bear litigation costs, bringing a 13-year legal dispute to a close. The court also upheld the principal compensation of 12.8 billion won and remanded the portion related to delay damages to the Seoul High Court.
