SiMa.ai and Synopsys have expanded their strategic collaboration to accelerate AI innovation in the automotive industry. The partnership aims to develop advanced chiplet architectures and reference SoC designs optimized for ADAS and IVI. The collaboration addresses challenges such as ultra-low power consumption, real-time processing, scalability, cost-effectiveness, and automotive-grade functional safety. SiMa.ai's ML simulators will be integrated into Synopsys' design platforms, enabling faster development of AI solutions for the automotive industry.

SiMa.ai and Synopsys have expanded their strategic collaboration to accelerate AI innovation in the automotive industry. The partnership aims to develop advanced chiplet architectures and reference SoC designs optimized for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI). The collaboration addresses challenges such as ultra-low power consumption, real-time processing, scalability, cost-effectiveness, and automotive-grade functional safety.

The collaboration will combine SiMa.ai's energy-efficient ML processing with Synopsys' automotive IP and design tools. This integration will facilitate the development of advanced chiplet architectures and reference SoC designs tailored to meet the unique demands of automotive AI applications. SiMa.ai's ML simulators will be integrated into Synopsys' design platforms, enabling faster development of AI solutions for the automotive industry.

The expanded collaboration integrates SiMa.ai's ML simulators into Synopsys' design platforms, including Platform Architect™, Virtualizer™ Development Kit (VDK), and ZeBu® Emulation. These tools will enable exploration of architectural options, early software development and testing, and pre-silicon power, performance, and efficiency validation.

Machine learning accelerator IP and associated software will be available from SiMa.ai for early access customers by mid-2026, with a production release targeted for the end of 2026. Machine learning IP Chiplet that integrates technologies from both companies will be available by mid-2027.

This collaboration is expected to benefit automotive customers by accelerating ADAS feature development, enhancing infotainment experiences, reducing time-to-market, and achieving strict automotive safety and reliability standards. Synopsys consulting will also be available to streamline development.
