Singapore Airlines (SIA) has announced the cancellation of selected flights between Singapore and Dubai due to the ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Effective immediately, flights SQ494 (Singapore to Dubai) and SQ495 (Dubai to Singapore) will remain suspended until 28 March 2026, with the possibility of further disruptions as the situation evolves according to an advisory. This decision follows earlier cancellations of 26 SIA and Scoot flights between 28 February and 7 March, triggered by military strikes in the region.

Passengers affected by the cancellations are offered reaccommodation on alternative flights or a full refund for the unused portion of their tickets. Direct bookers may submit refund requests via SIA's Assistance Request Form, while those who booked through travel agents or partner airlines should contact their respective booking channels as per the airline's advisory. The airline has emphasized the importance of travelers updating their contact details through the "Manage Booking" portal or subscribing to mobile notifications for real-time flight updates via a Facebook post.

SIA's low-cost subsidiary, Scoot, has also suspended flights TR596 and TR597 between Singapore and Jeddah until 17 March 2026 for similar reasons according to reporting. The airline expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and reiterated its commitment to monitoring the situation closely. Investors may note that prolonged regional instability could further impact SIA's operational planning and short-term revenue, particularly on routes traversing or connecting to the Middle East.
