Shell and Equinor Form Joint Venture to Lead UK North Sea Oil Production

Shell and Equinor have formed a joint venture, Adura, to lead UK North Sea oil production. The new company will unite decades of North Sea experience, combining 12 producing and in-development assets from Shell and Equinor, plus exploration licenses. Adura is projected to produce over 140,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2026, making it the top UK North Sea producer.
