SFL Secures $170 Million Contract for Hercules Semi-Submersible Rig in Canada

SFL Corporation has announced a $170 million contract with a large oil and gas company for the semi-submersible rig Hercules. The contract is expected to commence in Q1 2027 and will be managed by Odfjell Drilling. The rig will be prepared for mobilization to Canada later this year. SFL CEO Ole B. Hjertaker said the company is pleased to secure a new contract, seeing significant demand for harsh environment, deepwater capable semi-submersibles towards the end of the decade.
