SAP Datasphere August Updates: Batches, New Sources & Targets, and SAC Excel Add-in

SAP Datasphere, a comprehensive data management and analytics platform, has unveiled two significant updates in August 2025. These new features and initiatives are designed to enhance data processing capabilities, facilitate efficient data replication, and empower users with advanced analytics tools.

Key Features:

1. Transformation Flow Batch Processing: SAP Datasphere has introduced a new feature allowing users to break down large transformation flow datasets into batches. This helps in avoiding out-of-memory (OOM) errors when using the SAP HANA runtime. By defining batches on transformation flows, users can improve performance and reliability while ensuring efficient data integration and processing. This feature is accessible under the Batches tab in the data integration monitor [1].

2. Microsoft OneLake and SAP Signavio Integration: The platform now supports Microsoft OneLake as a source for replication flows, enabling data replication in CSV format from the source for initial loads. Additionally, SAP Signavio can be used as a target for replication flows, facilitating efficient and scalable data replication into the SAP Signavio solution [1].

3. SAP Analytics Cloud Add-in for Microsoft Excel: With the QRC 3 release, users can transfer tables from SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) stories to Excel and utilize the add-in.
