Sands Team Members: Driving Positive Impact on International Volunteer Day 2024

This annual event involves Team Members assembling thousands of hygiene kits containing soap, shampoo, and toothbrushes for Clean the World, an international social enterprise that distributes essential hygiene supplies to people in need. In 2024, Sands Team Members created 40,000 hygiene kits, surpassing the previous year's total of 30,000 kits. The success of this initiative can be measured by the number of kits assembled and the positive impact they have on people's lives, particularly those facing natural disasters or personal hardship.

Another significant initiative is the Sands Cares Food Kit Build, which addresses hunger and food insecurity in Sands' regions by assembling food kits for distribution to vulnerable individuals and families. In 2024, Sands Team Members and volunteers in Macao and Singapore assembled nearly 15,000 food kits, an increase from the 9,000 kits assembled in 2023. The success of this initiative can be measured by the number of food kits assembled and the number of people they reach, as well as feedback from recipients and partner organizations.

Sands Team Members also led disaster preparation parent-child workshops, organized by Sands China and Macau Red Cross, to build disaster preparedness awareness and strengthen the local community's emergency response capabilities.
